Bonita teaches regular classes at the Uckfield Community Technology College Dance studio. She specialises in teaching Egyptian style belly dance and is highly educated in the structure, form, rhythm and choreography of Egyptian music. She also holds a certificate in Teaching Skills for Life and is a member of the Institute for Learning.
Her classes are for anyone who has a love of dance and rhythm who would like to try something a bit different or improve on existing skills. Belly dance is suitable for all ages, shapes and sizes. Previous experience of this or any other dance form is not required, but students should be generally fit and mobile.
In Bonitas classes you will learn:
The basic movements, safe technique and rhythm of belly dance and to incorporate learnt movements within a class routine whilst refining and improving previously learnt movements and technique.Also, to improve suppleness, posture and fitness, and to instil confidence and enjoyment of belly dance.
Further movements, safe technique and rhythm of belly dance, incorporating learnt movements within a class routine.
To broaden knowledge of Egyptian music and rhythms.
Development of students own choreographies and performance skills
including accurate interpretation of the music.
To practise and refine movements already learnt and to improve suppleness,
posture and fitness while continuing to develop confidence and enjoyment
of belly dance.
Her classes are run on a termly basis and enrolment is through ACRES (Adult College for Rural East Sussex)
